Specimen Processor

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor to support our client’s medical facility in Lewisville, TX. This is a 4+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title: Specimen Processor Location: Lewisville, TX 75067 Pay Rate: $17.80/hr. on W2. Shift: Tues-Sat 9:30-6:00 CST Duration: 4+ monthsPay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Job Overview: The SPT I provides general support in the Specimen Processing Department , performing tasks such as data entry, sorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, and specimen delivery . The role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment . Key Responsibilities: Perform data entry (min. 6,000 keystrokes/hour) with accuracy and speed Handle specimen presort, accessioning (A-station), and delivery to labs Process specimens (centrifuging, aliquoting, imaging/microfilming) Adhere to safety protocols and compliance regulations Maintain clean work area and contribute to team productivity Communicate effectively with team and support staff Work Environment: Production-focused with emphasis on quality and turnaround time Exposure to biohazard materials ; PPE and safety compliance required Physical demands : Walking throughout the shift; lifting up to 25 lbs Schedule : Primarily night shift ; must be flexible for weekends, holidays, and overtime Qualifications: Education : High school diploma or equivalent Skills : Basic computer proficiency; medical/lab knowledge preferred Experience : No prior experience required, but lab or healthcare background is a plus Pride Global offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
