Junior Buyer The Junior Buyer is responsible for assisting in the procurement of goods and services to meet the company's operational needs. This role involves supporting the purchasing team, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Key responsibilities include: Assisting in sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment. Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. Communicating with suppliers to obtain product information, pricing, and availability. Preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the warehouse team to manage stock. Resolving issues related to order discrepancies, returns, and damaged goods. Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities. Supporting the Purchasing Manager in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement procedures. Performing other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager. Qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Business or related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing or a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical requirements include: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
