WEEKEND LEAD PACKER 2ND SHIFT

Weekend Lead Packer 2nd Shift Location: Huntley, IL Position: Lead Packer Shift: 2nd Shift 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM Schedule: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Pay: $22.56/hour plus $1.25 shift differential Job Summary: With general supervision, removes and inspects completed thermoformed sheets from the machine and packs cartons per job specifications. Leads, trains, and directs all Packer/Inspectors and their activities. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Leads, trains, and directs all Packer/Inspectors and their activities Monitors the production process and completes product reports Provides production data including scrap data as requested Removes completed thermoformed sheets from thermoforming machines Visually inspects each thermoformed sheet Removes and sets aside all non-conforming products per inspection control plan and/or visual samples per Operator/QA instructions Reports all non-conforming parts to the operator Assembles cardboard cartons Removes individual parts from thermoformed sheets and stacks them per job specifications Loads individual parts into cartons and seals each carton Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area Performs other duties as assigned Physical and Visual Activities/Demands: Standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling Reading, writing, talking Carrying and/or lifting up to 50 pounds Skill Level One Requirements: Keeps an accurate part count Keeps parts neatly stacked in boxes Makes new boxes Maintains a 97% attendance record Reads and understands specification sheets Self-starting, willing to learn, performs other tasks as required Maintains good working relationships with inspectors and operators Participates in improvement processes and offers suggestions Provides orientation and training for new Packer/Inspectors Reads, understands, and explains the pack-out process Recommends specification sheet changes as needed Practices and encourages quality Efficiently uses calipers to measure parts when necessary Trains lower-level inspectors Coordinates secondary operation activities
