Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/11/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: 3/23 Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 Shift Requirement: 12hr Days Float Requirement: Could float to the medical unit On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active IL RN license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE, 1 travel assignment. Neuro experience required Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required. Patient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medical Skillset: Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients. NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict Is & Os/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
