Nurse Manager - Operating Room

Nurse Manager - Operating Room Modesto, California Full Time This is a full-time, regular employee position with a day shift schedule. Standard workdays are Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities on weekends. Working hours are typically 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is an onsite position. Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of nurses and support staff in the Operating Room. • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective workflow. • Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care. • Manage resources, staffing, and scheduling. • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. • Promote continuous improvement and professional development. • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. Qualifications: • Registered Nurse License (California) (Required) • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required) • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing (earned through a direct entry MSN program) (Required) • Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to clinical area of specialization as required by department, including four (4) years of management, supervisory or leadershipexperience. • Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other applicable regulations (Required) • Strong interpersonal communication skills (Required) Preferred Qualifications: • Two (2) years of management experience in an Operating Room • One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience • One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment • Master's degree • 5 years of recent experience managing/supervising the Main OR within the last 7 years • CLS or PALS certification Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to lead a high-performing team • Excellent professional development opportunities • Collaborative and supportive work environment Skills and Certifications BLS - ACLS - PALS CNOR
