Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on patient acuity • Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation • Float requirements to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown as needed • May be cancelled one shift every 2 weeks • 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required • CV and Pediatric experience required • VAD experience highly preferred • SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required • Required certifications: PALS, BLS (American Heart Association only) • Preferred certification: ACLS (American Heart Association only) • Care for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care needs • Provide care for cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses • Work with special equipment including ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, Impella, VAD • VAD training required upon arrival to unit • All RTO must be provided at time of submission • 12 hours of orientation provided • Hurricane season emergency response team assignment may be required (June-November) • Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start • Epic charting system experience Facility: This healthcare organization features a Gold Beacon Award-winning 29-bed Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit that serves as the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in the state.
