Truck Driver TAMKO is seeking a Truck Driver at our facility in Dallas, Texas. The Truck Driver is responsible for performing transportation functions. This includes the pickup and delivery of raw materials, finished goods and other miscellaneous freight to and from plant operations, warehouse and vendors. The Truck Driver will also assist with warehouse operations. Summary of essential job functions To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Pick up, transport and unload bulk raw materials as dictated by production requirements. Monitor and maintain adequate levels of bulk and other raw materials on a daily/weekly basis. Occasional transport of miscellaneous equipment/materials to and from company owned facilities and outside vendors/contractors. Occasional loading/unloading of materials using a forklift. Perform required raw material testing as specified by Standard Operating Procedures. Complete annual training requirements. Assist with inventory and cycle counts as needed. Requirements Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Basic computer skills. CDL Class A. Forklift certification per company requirements. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this Job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift and/or position and secure of loads, perform general housekeeping utilizing hand tools and drive. While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must work in and around unloading equipment, forklifts and production lines. Reasoning Skills - Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deals with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations. Technical Skills - Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Teamwork - Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; contributes to building a positive team spirit. Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities.
