Job Description

Staffing Coordinator for LLWC of Spartanburg, SC Represents the agency as a frontline customer service liaison between patients/clients, caregivers, and the Care Coordinator Supervisor. Works under direction of the CSM and in coordination with the Care Coordinator Supervisor to assure that the skills of the caregiver assigned to each case are appropriately matched to the needs of the patients/clients. Responsible for consistently assigning the same caregiver to each patient/client when possible, facilitating continuity of care, supporting the attainment of desired outcomes, and improving customer satisfaction. Schedules only the amount, frequency, and duration of services identified in the plan of care. Validates caregiving documentation against schedules. Identifies potential scheduling conflicts and resolves scheduling concerns of patients/clients, families, or representatives. Creates and updates a ptient/client, and caregiver lists week to week, or more frequently, if requested. Consults with the manager of outpatients and on duty director when conflicts with caregivers need to be resolved. Contacts the patient/client and family to form satisfaction after a new caregiver has been made. May be directed to make random phone calls. Documents all requests for changes in caregivers, logs all complaints, and records the results of all customer satisfaction calls. Participates in the hiring of caregivers by identifying, recruiting, screening applicants, arranging and conducting interviews, arranging and conducting reference checks, assisting in the evaluation of prospective caregivers, arranging for home visits, assessing appropriateness of prospective employees with respect to patient/client needs, and verifying the completion of appropriate paperwork. Responsibilities include: knowledgeable of and supporters of the agencys philosophy, purpose, mission, goals and policies. Reports work time and preparedness. Records work accurately. Follows policies for reporting in sick and taking breaks. Varies work schedule to meet agency needs. Attends and participates in meetings and is responsive to all information communicated at meetings. Responds to and manages complaints in a professional manner. Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures. Completes. Works with all necessary safety and security measures. Communicates and discusses matters timely and appropriately. Completes all mandated trainings on time. Provides a safe environment for all clients/patients, physicians and employees. Supports a collaborative team approach. Communication demonstrates ability to effectively transfer information to necessary parties and in appropriate formats. Initiative is self-motivated and personally takes ownership of work when called for. Flexibility ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions. Team work balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objective and open-minded problem solving; helps others view problems from new perspectives. Job Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Exposures: This position is of a nature that normally requires 100% of your time during work hours. May be required to occasionally do light to moderate lifting of objects weighing, up to 25 lbs. May be exposed to minimum to moderate noise levels to varying degrees. May be required to perform extended periods of standing, walking, sitting using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects tools or controls. Local and out of state travel may be required from time to time. Position requires the use of personal protective equipment (gloves) in the performance of job functions when handling biohazard box for pick-up. Travel: Local and out of state travel may be required from time to time. Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or GED. One (1) year data entry, computer-related, clerical, or system experience preferably in a healthcare environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrated data entry ability with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Organizational, teaching, human resources, and management skills. Ability to work under time/pressure. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly master new software. Ability to recognize, develop, and implement needed guidance, input, and decision-making. Works with minimal supervision, consults with supervisor on any unusual situations.
