The DTD Business Insights Analyst will drive deep data-driven insights to inform Gibson's strategic Direct-To-Dealer business planning by leveraging analytics in key areas including, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product Merchandising and Dealer Intelligence Models. The Analyst supports DTD's continued strategic growth through designing and presenting internal sales analyses, product studies, competitive intelligence, sell-thru data, & marketplace research to drive key insights across the team. The Analyst plays a key role in development and execution of Gibson DTD's annual business & financial planning and revenue forecasting for Commercial Markets. Establishing lead & lag KPIs and implementing a culture of performance management is a critical task to ensure the channel's continued success. This role is also tasked with managing & performing tactical/ad-hoc analytical requests to support key business needs. Essential Functions To own, develop, and maintain the suite of Commercial reports (orderbook, sell-through, category, distribution, channel, etc.) To lead the preparation of the weekly / monthly DTD business reporting to the company's Commercial Leadership and Executive Team To assist in development and delivery of annual business planning & revenue forecasting with a primary focus on Global business To ensure continued quality and consistency of Orderbook and Sales Forecasting models To provide analytics feedback to assist with merchandising and refreshing of product listings to ensure continued consumer engagement To support and assist in department financial & product planning, strategy, and reporting To design and execute quantitative market research & analysis projects to address specific business needs and aid in strategy development. To assist in maintaining up-to-date product mix and inventory data, providing insight into inventory health and potential sales strategy To accurately and consistently track purchasing behavior and offers analysis actionable recommendations aiding in decisions to improve consumer experience To deliver data-driven recommendations to enhance Dealer and Consumer experience Supports Key Americas GTM Milestones (e.g.: preline meetings, prepare to sell, prepare to ignite, etc.), as well as presentations to the ELT & GLT. Provides distribution and product merchandise analytics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor business performance, and derives actionable insights to drive execution and continuous improvement. Follows the Go-to-Market (GTM) calendar cadence, provides key commercial input and meets calendar milestone deadlines as required by category planning. Structures information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience Experienced in developing, building, and delivering impactful data-supported presentations across departments Communicates information and key points of a topic clearly and concisely, with the intended audience in mind Management Makes clear data-driven recommendations Takes responsibility for actions and projects Takes initiative and acts with confidence Demonstrates excellent process management and planning Learning & Researching Gathers comprehensive information to support decision making Rapidly learns new tasks and quickly commits information to memory Demonstrates a rapid understanding of newly presented information Manages knowledge through collecting, classifying, & disseminating information of use to the organization Delivering results and meeting expectations Focuses on business needs and timely delivery Accepts and tackles demanding goals with enthusiasm Is result oriented and consistently achieves goals and objectives Ability to prioritize, plan, and pivot quickly as consumer expectations change Deals with ambiguity, making positive use of the opportunity it presents Requirements 2+ years relevant work experience, preferably in data analysis, business operations, and/or consumer insights Experience in working in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, preferably for a premium MI or Consumer Goods brand Proven track record of managing complex business analytics Ability to engage multiple datasets to create cogent analyses and deliver actionable insights across departments Key Skills Microsoft Office suite with high level understanding of and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel's data analysis capabilities as well as Microsoft PowerPoint Familiarity with Business Intelligence software, preferably PowerBI ERP & Inventory Management software Analytics, preferably with deep understanding of the consumer purchase behavior in an omni-channel purchasing environment Ability to work cross-functionally between Sales, Operations and Finance Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders Ability to quickly learn and understand new programs as needed including, but not limited to, operations, reporting and service Personal Qualities Proactively questions and challenges to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner Works with a sense of urgency and a desire for excellence in performance and customer satisfaction Curious in nature and always looking to question, learn, and look for better ways to do things Remains objective and exercise good judgment, decision making, and diplomacy Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills Maintains a positive outlook at work Personable, fun, team oriented and ignites a positive work atmosphere Passion for music Physical Demands Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment.
