Position Overview We are seeking a Veterinary Emergency Doctor to provide urgent and critical care services in a growing, multidisciplinary hospital. You will work closely with surgery and anesthesia teams to deliver coordinated, seamless patient care. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex emergency cases while benefiting from experienced technicians, specialty collaboration, and advanced diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage emergency and critical care cases Perform emergency procedures and stabilize unstable patients Triage incoming cases and prioritize treatment appropriately Develop evidence-based diagnostic and treatment plans Collaborate with surgery, internal medicine, and anesthesia services Utilize advanced diagnostics including: CT Digital radiography Ultrasound Endoscopy Fluoroscopy Fully equipped in-house laboratory Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients Maintain thorough and accurate medical records Professional Contributions Participate in case discussions and collaborative treatment planning Mentor and support veterinary technicians during emergency procedures Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians Contribute to the continued growth of the emergency service Engage in continuing education and professional development Uphold a culture of professionalism, accountability, and respect Qualifications DVM or equivalent veterinary degree Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain) Minimum 1 year emergency or critical care experience preferred Strong emergency stabilization and case management skills Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered medicine Excellent communication and client education skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment Collaborative mindset and positive leadership approach Schedule Options Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Overnight Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM Flexible scheduling discussions available Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $150,000 – $250,000+ annually Production-based commission structure Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance negotiable Health, dental, and vision insurance Health insurance fully paid after 2 years 401(k) with company match Paid time off Continuing education allowance and paid CE time Uniform allowance Our Facility 24/7 emergency services Advanced surgical services including orthopedics, oncology, laparoscopic, and soft tissue surgery Wound management and reconstructive surgery Stem cell and PRP therapy Advanced diagnostic imaging and emergency surgery Low-ego, highly collaborative team environment Clinical autonomy without micromanagement Diversity & Inclusion Lenity Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued and supported.
