Job Title: Design Engineer - Structural Summary A structural steel fabrication company is seeking a Design Engineer - Structural to support the engineering and design of steel structures used in electrical transmission and traffic applications. This role is responsible for completing structural engineering calculations, reviewing drawings, and ensuring all deliverables meet industry standards, project requirements, and internal quality expectations. Primary Responsibilities Participate in the development and maintenance of engineering standards. Design structural components for steel structures used in electrical power line and traffic intersection applications. Perform engineering calculations and structural analysis. Provide accurate inputs to design teams for fabrication drawings. Review structural drawings to ensure compliance with engineering and project requirements. Interpret contract documents, drawings, work orders, and customer specifications. Deliver engineering details that meet organizational and customer standards. Provide technical guidance for design reviews, investigation reports, and development of corporate standards and guidelines. Ensure engineering deliverables are completed according to project schedules. Participate in internal and external design reviews and offer technical support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil or Structural. 5+ years of experience in structural engineering and design. Professional Engineer (PE) certification. Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software. Strong communication skills. Solid proficiency with computer systems and office software; regular use of computers and office equipment required. Strong organizational and planning skills.
