Functional Analyst Testing

We are seeking a Functional Analyst - Testing who will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, preparing functional test cases, and executing end-to-end testing to ensure the system meets business needs. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to validate functionality and ensure high-quality delivery. Key Responsibilities Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to understand system behavior. Translate requirements into detailed test scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across modules. Validate business processes, workflows, and application logic against requirements. Log, track, and manage defects to closure, working with developers and product owners. Collaborate with business users during UAT cycles, ensuring sign-off. Document test results and provide clear reporting on quality metrics. Support production validation and post-release verification. Mandatory Skills Strong expertise in functional/system testing. Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and defect management. Familiarity with testing tools (JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar). Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Ability to work closely with business teams to clarify requirements and validate deliverables. Good to Have Domain knowledge (Banking, Insurance, CRM, ERP, etc., depending on industry). Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, UFT, Tosca) is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of SQL for basic data validation. Role Type Individual contributor role with focus on functional testing and requirement validation.
