Universal Logistics is seeking quality 3rd shift forklift operators and warehouse processors for direct-hire /full-time positions out of our Tanner, AL facility. As a Processor at our facility, you will be a key member of our warehouse team, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of materials in and out of our warehouse. Using handheld scanners, you will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain organized storage, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment. This role is essential to maintaining the flow of goods for a renowned leader in the powersports industry. Universal offers: • Full-time hours • Medical and Dental Insurance • Paid Time Off • Annual reviews 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm w/ mandatory OT as needed on the weekends Forklifts $18 Key Responsibilities: Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage and verify conformity to purchase orders and packing slips, documenting any discrepancies. Inventory Management: Accurately scan and process materials using handheld scanners and the WMS, ensuring real-time inventory updates. Labeling and Documentation: Generate and apply barcode labels to inventory as needed, ensuring proper tracking and identification. Discrepancy Resolution: Promptly report any packing, packaging, or paperwork discrepancies to leadership for resolution. Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, including emptying waste receptacles, sweeping, and other general housekeeping tasks. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Continuous Improvement: Participate in meetings and training sessions as directed to enhance skills and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications: Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate. Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic computer skills. Ability to learn and effectively use a WMS. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
