RN NICU Nights Description - External Join BSWH McLane Children's Hospital as a Neonatal Nurse and be part of something better! The #1 city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! A Schedule: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per week Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's flagship NICU, located in Temple, is the only Level IV NICU located between Dallas and Austin. This 51-bed unit treats approximately 800 newborns each year. Expert neonatology care close to home The Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cares for the most fragile and premature newborns as well as full-term newborns diagnosed with serious or life-threatening conditions. The NICU, including our Level IV NICU in Temple, is staffed by experienced pediatric specialists called neonatologists. They oversee each child's care and collaborate with other pediatric specialists, such as neurologists, cardiologists and pulmonologists. Specialists monitor these tiny patients around the clock. The most advanced technology is used to support the fragile infant's breathing and many other life-sustaining measures. The average length of stay for extremely premature infants is about three months, or generally around the time of their original due date. Requirements of the Ideal Candidate Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required Active RN License Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience Basic Life Support (BLS) Required. QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program - MAJOR - Nursing - EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience - CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
