Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,400 - $2,530/week CVOR RN Job Details Location: Madison, WI 53792 – Experience Wisconsin healthcare jobs in the vibrant capital city, known for scenic lakes and a welcoming community. Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: March 30, 2026 Nursing Shifts: Day/Evening, 3x12-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 06:40 – 19:10); no call required Hours per Week: 36 Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Unit: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room), with floating to all surgical service lines as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Wisconsin or compact state RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in CVOR specifically (experience in related specialties does not qualify) Experience with Epic charting system required Ability to float/circulate to all service lines, including trauma and emergency cases Must pass telemetry exam prior to start (strict criteria apply) Willingness to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during contract Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility. Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract. Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Previous charge nurse, Level I/II trauma, and travel nursing experience preferred CVOR Nurse Responsibilities Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to plan and deliver patient care in the CVOR Coordinate and communicate operating room activities for efficient surgical case progression and turnover Circulate and/or scrub for cardiac, ECMO, transplant, endovascular, trauma, laparoscopic, and emergency cases Float to other surgical service lines as needed, including trauma and emergency procedures Utilize advanced surgical equipment such as Da Vinci Si/Xi Surgical Systems Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic Participate in orientation and ongoing competency assessments Provide compassionate nursing care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Why Choose Madison, Wisconsin?
