Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday with no weekends or call requirements • Start times vary with earliest at 6:00 AM and latest shift ending at 7:30 PM • Float between pre-op and PACU departments, primarily working in PACU • Maintain 2:1 patient ratio during day shifts • Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Handle daily census of 30-40 patients across specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, ENT, neuro, total joints, urology, and general surgery • Work in two-floor facility with 2nd floor having 10 bays/5 ORs and 5th floor having 8 bays/2 ORs • Required certifications: CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS • Minimum 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred • Ambulatory/outpatient experience highly preferred • Must have 1 year of specialty experience and 7-year work history verification • Perform pre-op assessments, post-operative care, pain management, medication administration, and discharge planning • Skills include managing various surgical procedures, conscious sedation monitoring, airway assessment, and emergency response Facility: This ambulatory surgery center specializes in outpatient surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, pediatrics, ENT, neurology, urology, and general surgery.
