OSP Engineer

HYBRID MODEL: 3 office / 2 Remote Schedule for now. -This individual is a Telecommunications Professional and must be capable of engineering routine and specific outside plant work orders, both distribution and feeder. -Must be capable of providing administrative and field support to the outside plant work forces. Responsibilities: • Fiber plant design, and general construction knowledge. • Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry. • Strong Computer Skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative) - Comprehensive knowledge and skill for more complex applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, etc. • Knowledge of the network plant and local practices. • Experience with working application of engineering systems and databases. • Working knowledge of right-of-way, property rights, and permit acquisition. MUST HAVE SKILLS: 1. Good speaking skills with customers. 2. Understand Telecommunication Outside Plant terminology, equipment and facilities 3. Create prints in ICGS for handoff to our Construction team. 4. Understand Datab ases: UUI/Cofee/VBuild/iVAPP/CCP. 5. Understand how Telecommunication/HiCAP is designed and how to bring it into buildings. DESIRED SKILLS: 1. A former Telecommunication OSP Engineer who can design in ICGS all Telecommunication/HiCAP jobs. 2. Understand the OSP aerial and underground plant. 3. Understand FIM, iVAPP, vBuild, NTAS, CCP, WFM.
