Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details Location: Buffalo, MO 65622 (Missouri SLP jobs) Setting: Hospital - Speech Language Pathology Unit Assignment Type: Travel SLP position Start Date: December 29, 2025 End Date: March 30, 2026 Duration: 13-week contract Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour day shifts (flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM) Hours per Week: 40 On-Call: None Weekends: No regular weekends; make-up hours available for weekday holidays Estimated Weekly Salary: $1920 - $2060 SLP Qualifications Active Missouri State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new grads with Level II experience considered) Background in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings Ability to provide one professional reference Compliance with ASHA and Missouri State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized care plans using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals Collaborate with supervisors and the clinical healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic documentation Participate in meetings, trainings, and in-services as required Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Student SLPs as needed Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical requirements Apply now to join our hospital-based speech therapy team in Buffalo, Missouri, and make a lasting impact in the lives of your patients!
