Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer - Columbus, Ohio Job #26-00051Salary Range - $100K to $150K per year + Bonuses and Relocation Expenses Assistance Responsibilities: Provide technical support and leadership for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, improvement, and/or construction of transportation infrastructure projects in the public and private sector. Perform research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of load-bearing structures or structural elements including bridges, roadways, and retaining walls. Provide guidance to junior engineers Assist in the management, growth, and development of the company's bridge design and inspection team. Represent projects and the firm at meetings and conferences. Make recommendations on project staffing. Assist with technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary design phases, and presentations to client. Provide innovative solutions related to the design of bridges, transit structures, and other significant structures required for state highways, county roads, and city streets. Develop and maintain relationships with owners, contractors, and sub-consultants. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline (Master's Degree is a plus). 10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior structural or civil design experience. Professional Engineer license required in the State of Ohio (multi-state a plus). Highly proficient with extensive experience in bridge and infrastructure planning, design, and program/construction management; including project involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and reconstruction, new design, and construction projects. Strong knowledge of relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of structures, bridges, applying applicable regulations and policies. Experienced with providing critical review for documents and preparing technical deliverables and plans with a high degree of complexity. Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
