Inspector Packer Job Description Inspector Packer is a factory or warehouse position responsible for performing quality checks on finished products and then preparing them for shipment, including assembling boxes, verifying counts, and taping or sealing packages. 2nd shift 3:55pm 12:00am - $ .50/hr shift premium 3rd shift 11:55pm 8:00am - $1.00/hr shift premium The safety and health of the employee takes precedence over any other duties of this job. Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions. Performs all responsibilities in a manner which ensures that the quality expectations of every customer (internal and external) are met or exceeded, and that continuous improvement is achieved. Knows, understands, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the position. Perform all inspector packer duties per procedures as assigned. Maintains all proper paperwork, labels and lot number recording where it applies to production. Documentation Performs other related duties as assigned by the shift supervisor. Kind of education: 1. Basic understanding of relevant ISO/IATF 16949 quality requirements 2. Inspector/Packer's job tasks 3. Demonstrates safe behavior and safe work practices Observational: Basic ABBI knowledge and behavioral observation skills to identify all types of safety concerns. Ability to detect visual and physical rejected part defects. Performs all packing of finished parts into cartons and various secondary operation phases. Keep clean manufacturing press area in a 5's housekeeping manner. Recordkeeping: Maintain proper production documentation (P-Charting, process changes, etc.) Basic PC skills to maintain accurate production records in IQMS system. Dexterity: Safe lifting techniques and packaging of finished product. Part counting and weighing on digital scales. Physical effort: Lifting, walking, stooping, bending, leg and arm movement. Repetitive much fatigue. Intermittent x active work. Varied x strength. Semi-auto. x good eyesight. Light lifting (must be able to lift to 30 lbs.) x color perception. Compensation/Pay Rate (Up to): $17.50 - $18.00
