Assistant Project Manager My client is a long standing construction company based in the Northeast with roughly forty years in business. They operate with a tight knit team of approximately forty professionals and complete projects primarily throughout Vermont, with additional work in nearby regions. The firm delivers both new construction and renovation projects across a wide range of markets including commercial, healthcare, food and beverage, multifamily, and education. Project sizes typically range from one million to twenty five million dollars. They are known for strong employee tenure, minimal turnover, and a clear commitment to growing talent from within. The company offers a structured development program for junior staff that provides exposure to all phases of construction, helping employees gain a well rounded understanding of the building process. Many current leaders within the organization began their careers in entry level project roles and advanced internally. Job Description Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from start to finish. Collaborate with project managers to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to address project needs. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on all projects. Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Support the team in resolving any project-related issues efficiently and effectively. The Successful Applicant A successful Assistant Project Manager should have: A background in construction or project management within the business services industry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
