PGS Worldwide is seeking a Composite Fabrication / Production Assembler in Phoenix, AZ for a 1-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This is an onsite production position assembling composite sub-assemblies and armor panel assemblies using hand and power tools while working to work orders, templates, and shop instructions. The role also supports related aircraft seat cushion component assembly tasks (bonding, cutting, grinding) using similar processes. Required Skills High school diploma (or equivalent) Minimum 1 year of experience in a production assembly environment (or equivalent technical schooling/training) Ability to read and follow work instructions, templates, illustrations, and work order requirements Hands-on ability using basic hand tools and pneumatic/electric power tools for cutting, trimming, and grinding Experience working with composite-related materials and processes (fibrous materials, epoxies, plastics, ceramics, alloys, adhesives/resins) Comfortable applying/mixing release agents, sealants, solvents, adhesives, and resins as part of daily work Ability to use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers Ability to stand for extended shifts and work in a repetitive, detail-oriented production environment Ability to move/pull/lift and transfer product up to 40 lbs unaided Must be able to pass a respirator physical test Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures Preferred Skills Technical institute certifications, degree, or equivalent combination of training/education What You'll Do Assemble composite sub-assemblies and armor panel assemblies from simple to complex builds Cut, trim, and grind materials using hand tools and pneumatic/electric power tools per work order guidelines Mix and apply release agents, sealants, solvents, adhesives, and resins to support fabrication processes Use scales, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify work meets requirements Maintain quality and accuracy while working within production pace and workspace constraints Support additional fabrication tasks for aircraft seat cushion component assembly (bonding, cutting, grinding foam/plastics/laminated materials) Work Schedule / Shift 4/40 schedule (as provided) Job ID: 7316 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
