Quality Assurance ManagerOverview: Coordinate and administer the Quality and Continuous Improvement processes to ensure all company products meet consumer expectations and demands. Specific daily duties for this position include overseeing employee performance and inspecting products to ensure conformity throughout the production process. Where products fail to meet quality standards, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for discarding and rejecting the product and documenting the reasons why it failed to meet the quality standards set. Responsibilities: Manage QA Laboratory operations and personnel. Facilitate plant customer compliant investigations, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions and Effectiveness Evaluations. Communicate complaint information to customers. Support Management of Change process on new products, customers, and equipment. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in alignment with customer and regulatory requirements. Lead teams to identify and investigate internal quality problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions. Participate in document review and approval (requirements, test plans, protocols, specifications, drawings, etc.) Maintain department budget/cost of quality/cost of nonconformance system. Maintain quality systems complaint with ISO 9001, SQF, IMS. Facilitate 2nd and 3rd party audits. Support customer requests for quality/product safety related information. Responsible for lab employee development through providing training, vision, empowerment and a commitment to excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager and Director of Quality Background/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related technical discipline Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in Quality Strong knowledge of film laminating and converting and/or extrusion preferred Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard Expertise in SQF and/or IMS standards Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies Strong computers skills, including quality system applications, spreadsheets, and databases ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
