The client Technology Services (STS) Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) organization partners with Business and Technology Leaders to prioritize and execute technology work for strategic business sponsored initiatives, enhancements, as well as standard technology operations, production support, and technology enablement to ensure STS capacity is focused on the most important work for the company. What you'll do: Project Managers are responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic initiatives. They lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. We are currently transitioning to a scaled agile model, therefore this role will need both traditional project management, as well as scaled agile methodology experience. Projects are broad in scope and require creativity, flexibility, analytical and structured thinking, and strong communication, teaming and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to independently drive strategic initiatives from ideation to execution through effective teaming and networking across the company. Responsibilities: Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative including business, operational, and information technology deliverables Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners Directly manages all aspects of the project life cycle and oversees all phases of a project Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters Validates financial forecasts, cost assumptions, and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures Works with resource managers to ensure that resource capacity planning is accurately forecast, and provides ongoing reconciliation of actual time spent against forecasts Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan Handles risks and issues management for the project-level risks and interdependencies Partners with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to track Agile development milestones and support Agile practices as needed Manages team relationships to ensure effective delivery Facilitates problem-solving and resolves stakeholder conflict Teaches, coaches, and mentors team members to remove roadblocks and drive project execution What you are good at: Proven ability to build a strong partnership and trust with stakeholders Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively & succeed within a highly collaborative culture Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally Demonstrated sound business and technical acumen Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure Understanding of cross-functional dependencies and how they impact project execution Expertise with financial data and the technology, tools and processes that support work and projects/programs Expert understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity What you have (required qualifications): 8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments 8+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc. Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace Proven experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience Experience with managing projects to rollout new technologies and software Experience framing problems, analyzing solutions, building business case models, developing decks, facilitating / participating in meetings, and presenting to executive audiences Superior analytical skills, research capabilities and attention to detail Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences Ability to work across several projects concurrently Strong and demonstrated teaming skills, especially in cross-functional teams Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment Preferred Skills: Release Train Engineer experience, preferred Scaled agile methodology experience, preferred Background/experience in financial services industry PMP or PMI-ACP certification Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and key AI concepts are preferred Experience in consulting with focus on technology, strategy and innovation is a plus EEO: "Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of -Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans."
