Shipping and Receiving Supervisor General Description: The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor manages all aspects of shipping and receiving functions, and directly oversees component and MRO inventory including warehousing, inventorying, data entry, etc. The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor reports to the Inventory/Shipping Manager. Responsibilities: Support and administer the Company Safety Program and hold weekly safety meetings. Supervise, coach, mentor and evaluate the Shipping & Receiving employees. Identify and provide necessary and appropriate training for the Shipping & Receiving department. Assure compliance to 6S, ISO/TS16949:2009, ISO 14001, OSHA, and EPA standards and maintain appropriate records as applicable. Physically count designated warehouses as required (on & off-site) Assist in day-to-day operations in warehouses (receiving's, excess, scrap, questions, frozen stock, training, issue/de-issue, pack types and stockroom) Assist in overseeing component warehouse Monitor and audit inventory control; including adjustments in stock for production, racks, scrap and receiving's Compare inventory balances and log daily findings Communicate with buyers if there are any receiving problems Assist in the implementation of new warehouses and stockroom Checking in new materials into the system (MRO items, production components, etc.) Performing cycle counting on stock (MRO items, production components, etc.) Organizing and maintaining inventory (blanks, components, and check/weld fixtures) into and out of the warehouses (on-site and offsite locations) Performing data entry of racks and parts into system Create shippers, invoices and ASN's (Advanced Ship Notifications) when required Schedule outbound/inbound trucks Perform data entry, general office duties, and record keeping Loading and unloading of semi-trailers Operating a forklift to transport racks, pallets, baskets, blanks, components, and fixtures. Stocking shelves Reading and populating load schedule Calculating load tallies and receiving tallies Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma with knowledge of parts and materials. Previous Inventory Control Experience Knowledge of Excel or Word. Knowledge of manufacturing process and procedures Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Highly detail oriented & organized Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to reach and lift above head. Ability to bend at the knees and hips. Knowledge of tools, parts and materials. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Job Location: Performed in the office, stockroom and production floor. Equipment Used: Personal computer with appropriate software, general office equipment, barcode and easy label system, AS-400 stock maintenance programs, Nutech Scanning System, System 21, Future 3, and plant safety equipment.
