Job Title: Senior Business AnalystLocation: [Mc Lean,VA]Experience: 10-12 YearsEmployment Type: ContractWork Model: OnsitePosition Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager with 10-12 years of experience in business analysis, agile delivery, and product management-preferably within the mortgage and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mix of business and technical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on experience in API-based application development, SDLC, and Agile frameworks. Candidates with U.S. education (preferably undergraduate degree in the U.S.), experience in Big 4 consulting firms (e.g., Booz Allen, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), or top-tier consulting backgrounds are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities:Business Analysis & Agile Delivery Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for mortgage-related systems and applications. Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs in Agile tools such as JIRA or Rally. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely delivery of business requirements. Translate complex business needs into functional and technical specifications for API-based and web service-driven applications. Partner with Product Owners to prioritize features, define product roadmaps, and support sprint planning sessions. Facilitate workshops and requirement elicitation sessions to define system processes, data flow, and integration needs. Mortgage Domain Expertise Demonstrate strong understanding of the mortgage lifecycle, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and secondary markets. Provide business insights and process improvements based on extensive GSE (Government-Sponsored Enterprise) experience, preferably with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Support implementation of regulatory, compliance, and operational changes within mortgage systems. Technical Collaboration Work closely with development teams to design and review web services, API specifications, and data integration flows. Perform feasibility analysis, define project objectives, and support both manual and automation testing efforts. Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-deployment validation. Develop and document UAT strategies, plans, test scripts, and execution reports. Utilize tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger for API validation and test automation. Modern Delivery & Agile Practices Embrace Modern Delivery principles, encouraging a customer-centric mindset within the Agile team. Collaborate with Product Owners to define user-centric features and ensure continuous delivery of business value. Support technical requirement definition, feasibility assessment, and system design through an iterative and Agile approach. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10-12 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Consultant in financial services or mortgage technology. Proven experience in requirement gathering, business process design, data flow mapping, and technical documentation. Hands-on expertise in API documentation and testing (Postman, SoapUI, Swagger). Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and user story creation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage business and technical teams effectively. Solid understanding of manual and automation testing concepts. Demonstrated ability to interface between business stakeholders, technical teams, and QA engineers. Familiarity with MS-Office, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or equivalent requirement management tools.
