This is a full-time, 12-hour Day shift position within a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit that offers both the excitement of a high-acuity environment and the profound fulfillment of supporting families during one of the most significant and life-changing moments of their lives. Our state-of-the-art Labor & Delivery department features 21 modern LDRP rooms and proudly welcomes more than 2,600 newborns each year. As a Magnet Designated hospital and one of the South Bay's most trusted high-risk obstetric services, we are uniquely positioned to care for mothers and babies with both routine and complex medical conditions, ensuring access to the highest level of specialized, evidence-based care. In this role, you will gain invaluable experience across a wide spectrum of obstetric nursing responsibilities. From supporting patients through the birthing process, circulating in the operating room, and providing recovery services in the PACU, to managing high-risk postpartum cases and responding to emergent triage situations, you will be at the heart of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in maternal and newborn health. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns. • Circulate in the operating room for cesarean deliveries and other obstetric procedures. • Deliver PACU services to patients recovering from anesthesia. • Care for high-risk postpartum patients and manage complex medical conditions in the maternal population. • Perform OB triage for patients presenting with emergent conditions. • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Document patient care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. • Support a safe, positive, and healing environment for patients and their families. Candidate requirements • Graduation from an accredited nursing program. • California Registered Nurse License upon hire. • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire. • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire. • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Labor & Delivery experience preferred).
