Fire Power Engineer Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, integrate and release system, subsystem assemblies and corresponding components, and provisions for various systems and subsystems mechanisms About the role: This department has a strong concentration in the field of gun/turret drives and racerings, a plethora of assorted weapon systems, its integration into various legacy and new platforms and design of its associated hardware/ ammunition handling or feed. Ability to design articulating, locking or sliding provisions to Human Factors requirements - Must possess CAD software experience - Able to provide technical guidance with Design Services to create models, installation and detail drawings and provide technical support for concurrent engineering - Able to support procurement and on site prototype build/integration activities and resolve issue(s) -Able to read technical drawings and perform tolerance stacks. Working knowledge of GD&T is a plus. -Possess a working knowledge of FEA ( ANSA, with Nastran and/or LS-DYNA solvers) is a plus -Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. Electrical Engineering with experience and desire to work Fire Power and Weapons systems. This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance). 5-7 years in a professional engineering role. Previous work on Ground Combat vehicles desired - Self starter, highly motivated - Perform preliminary design and analysis derived from requirements - Work in an Integrated Product Team environment and be able to communicate across functional organizations - Performing failure analysis & be able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutions - Write technical reports & modification instructions -CAD modeling capability for generating feasible design concepts, CREO experience preferred Experience with Teamcenter or similar desired - A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required - Must be able to work in office, shop, plant, test lab and test site environments Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings and overtime is required. Ability to travel to other facilities and military installations if needed.
