Radiation TherapistDermatology | Coastal Delaware A well-established dermatology group is seeking a licensed Radiation Therapist to join their well-established and growing dermatology team in Coastal Delaware. This role focuses on the treatment of skin cancer and other dermatologic conditions using superficial and low-energy radiation therapy in a patient-centered outpatient setting. Qualifications Active New Delaware License in Radiation Therapy ARRT certification required Current DE DEP X-ray licensure (or ability to maintain) Prior experience with superficial or dermatologic radiation therapy preferred Strong patient communication and independent clinical decision-making skills Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Experience Position patients accurately for treatment and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding Educate, prepare, and reassure patients and their families regarding treatment plans, expected reactions, and post-treatment care Monitor patients during treatment and promptly communicate any changes in condition to the physician or care team Build rapport with patients and provide emotional support throughout the course of care Serve as a liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and supportive care personnel Treatment Administration Review physician prescriptions, diagnoses, and treatment plans prior to administration Calibrate, operate, and monitor radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed doses safely and accurately Conduct treatment sessions independently in accordance with established protocols and under the general direction of the supervising physician Assist with dosimetry procedures and tumor localization as needed Adjust machine settings and equipment positioning to ensure precise treatment delivery Enter and maintain accurate treatment data in electronic systems Safety & Compliance Follow all principles of radiation protection to ensure safety of patients, staff, and self Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including ARRT and NJ DEP requirements Independently manage the radiation therapy site in accordance with supervisory guidelines Perform routine safety checks to ensure proper operation of radiation therapy equipment Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of treatments, setups, radiation dosages, and patient responses Complete required records, reports, and files in a timely and compliant manner Equipment Maintenance & Quality Assurance Perform daily equipment checks and quality assurance procedures Identify equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or service as needed Ensure all radiation therapy equipment is functioning safely and effectively Communication & Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with supervising physicians, radiation therapists, clinical staff, and administrative team Participate in team meetings and clinical rounds as required Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused clinical environment Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $108K+ DOE Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
