Shop Technician - Day Shift

Job DescriptionTitle: Shop Technician - Day Shift Location: Bethlehem, PA 18020 Shift: Day Shift | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts) Hire Type: Direct Hire Pay Range: $20-$23/hour (based on experience) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays The Shop Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining molds and tooling to support production and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely while following established procedures and quality criteria. Responsibilities Inspect molds and tooling for damage, wear, and overall condition Test molds for proper mechanical function, fit of moving parts, and water leaks Verify tooling accuracy using measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications Diagnose defective or damaged molds and recommend repairs or modifications Determine salvageability of tooling components Prepare tooling components for outgoing setups Inspect incoming molds and tooling (new and used) Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inventory, and proper storage Prepare molds for shipment Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures Qualifications Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a technical school preferred 6 months to 1 year of related tooling, mold, or maintenance experience preferred Basic electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus Ability to read basic electrical schematics Experience using a multimeter to check continuity and heaters is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a production-focused environment Meet Your RecruiterSabrina Herrera Sabrina Herrera is a seasoned Technical Recruiter with a knack for establishing genuine connections with candidates and continuously expanding her expertise in various roles and industries.
