Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Surgery Location: Paducah, Kentucky Practice Setting: Hospital-Based Only Start Date: Upon completion of credentialing Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7 AM 7 AM) Call Only No Clinic Position Overview: A regional hospital in Paducah, KY, is expanding its general surgery coverage pool and seeks a Board-Certified General Surgeon for 24-hour hospital call shifts. This role offers a steady but manageable caseload, full surgical support, and the option to utilize robotics for those certified. Case Volume & Scope: Surgical Cases: 1 3/day Consults: 2 4/day Patient Population: Pediatric to Geriatric (pediatric cases are minimal and discretionary) Trauma: Minimal trauma cases required Required Procedures: Adult General Surgery Basic Trauma Surgery Central Line & Chest Tube Insertion Vascular Access Device Placement Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Colon & Small Bowel Surgery Facility & Support: ORs: 12 fully equipped rooms Support Staff: CSTs, RNFAs, First Assists seasoned and well-rounded team EMR: EPIC Robotics: Available for credentialed providers Candidate Requirements: Board Certified (ABOS) Required Active KY License or IMLC Compact License Required COVID Vaccination Preferred Clean Background Preferred for faster credentialing by Jobble
