Job description Legacy Healing Center is searching for the most qualified, empathic, compassionate, energetic and passionate addiction professionals in the industry to provide comprehensive care for our patients. The Family Nurse Practitioner works closely with the Medical Director to provide medication monitoring, case management and medical assessment from a holistic, recovery-oriented perspective in a professional and compassionate manner. Responsibilities: Initiate requests for laboratory studies as needed. Identify normal and abnormal findings, interpret, and initiate medication alterations or follow-up treatment as indicated. Prescribe, monitor, and teach patients the use of medications according to approved medication regimens and protocols. Provide coverage as assigned by Medical Director for physical medicine needs, including but not limited to History & Physical assessments, sick visits, and self-injurious behavior and blind weight checks. Complete patient exit interviews based upon facility protocols. Attend department meetings and trainings as directed by the Medical Director. Perform other related duties as required or assigned by the Medical Director. Initiate and maintain timely, accurate documentation of all services rendered Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Minimum of 3 years providing care to clients with Substance Use Disorder • Board Certified with active APN license. • Current DEA License • Knowledge of DCF and Joint Commission standards • Demonstrates proficiency in communication and written skills • Knowledge of State and Federal statues regarding patient confidentiality laws (HIPAA) Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Medical specialties: Addiction Medicine Internal Medicine Primary Care Physical setting: Outpatient Schedule: Day shift On call Weekend availability License/Certification: Licensed Nurse Practitioner
