Job Summary The GMA Pallet Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding pallets with exceptional consistency and attention to detail, ensuring all pallets meet company quality standards. This role performs a variety of assembly-line repair tasksfrom identifying and correcting damage, replacing or reinforcing boards, to ensuring all completed pallets are clean, safe, and ready for use. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily production goals and maintaining smooth operations within the facility. What You'll Be Doing As a GMA Pallet Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include: Inspecting pallets for damage, wear, and structural issues; determining the appropriate level of repair Performing repairs with precision to ensure consistent, high-quality results Using a variety of hand and power tools to remove, replace, or reinforce pallet boards and components Meeting or exceeding daily production targets Identifying and understanding the different types and grades of pallets Conducting final evaluations of completed pallets to ensure they meet PLA quality standards Operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, and repair equipment Inspecting equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation Adjusting or calibrating equipment settings as required Maintaining a clean and safe workstation; following all safety protocols Escalating technical or process issues to leadership promptly Partnering effectively with facility staff to support smooth operations Performing other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Experience in pallet repair, woodworking, carpentry, or construction preferred Knowledge of operating various sawsusage, safety, and basic maintenance preferred Ability to work safely with high-powered saws and tools in a fast-paced assembly-line environment Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect defects or material inconsistencies High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Any combination of education and experience will be considered Physical Requirements Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday Repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling 75 lbs or more Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a high-energy production environment Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
