Accounting Specialist We are seeking a skilled Legal Billing or Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role involves resolving accounting and billing inquiries, updating account information, and ensuring billing matters are set up in accordance with client guidelines. Responsibilities Review and resolve accounting and billing inquiries from internal team members and clients. Refer inquiries and issues to appropriate escalated parties as needed. Review and update account and billing information and statuses. Research and provide follow-up to billing and account information requests. Process internal requests for updates to billing information. Review and enter new business billing intake information as needed. Set up billing matters following client guidelines. Perform various data changes including updating addresses, contact information, groups, insurance information, and billing information. Review Billing Guidelines to ensure matters are set up appropriately concerning rates and financial contractual agreements. Essential Skills Accounts receivable Billing collections Invoicing Data entry Accounting Collection Billing customer service Legal billing Aderant Chromeriver Additional Skills & Qualifications Diploma or GED required, Associate's degree preferred 2 years of client billing/accounting experience, strongly preferred in the legal realm Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups) Experience with Chromeriver and/or BillBlast Work Environment This is a remote position and requires the candidate to be located in a city with an office present, such as Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Palo Alto, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh, Reston, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Short Hills, Washington DC, or Wilmington. The schedule for the initial onboarding period (2 to 3 weeks) is from 9:30am to 6:00pm EST, with the permanent schedule being 12:00pm to 8:30pm EST, Monday to Friday. This position offers the possibility of conversion to a permanent role for the right candidate or could lead to an extension. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
