Job Title: Data Quality Specialist Location: Charlotte, NC Salary Range: Competitive and Commensurate with Experience Introduction Join our dynamic Developer Experience team, where we focus on software development and portfolio metrics at an enterprise scale. We collaborate across engineering and product delivery teams to provide reliable insights on velocity, work-in-progress, lead time, commit cycle times, release frequency, and more. We are seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the accuracy and reliability of queries and metrics across Power BI, Oracle, and MongoDB. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to address issues and clearly communicating findings. As you become familiar with our data landscape and software development lifecycle (SDLC), you will have opportunities to advise on fixes and preventative controls. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong skills in Power BI validation, including data model checks, DAX basics, refresh troubleshooting, and lineage tracing Hands-on SQL experience with Oracle, including joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance-aware queries MongoDB experience, particularly with aggregation pipelines, indexing, and schema nuances in document stores QA fundamentals, including test case design, regression suites, defect lifecycle, and traceability Experience with large-scale enterprise data and BI semantic modeling (star/snowflake) Preferred Skills & Qualifications Exposure to Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible Tower (or similar tools) Familiarity with data observability tooling and concepts Understanding of data governance, including data contracts, SLAs, lineage, and stewardship Excellent MS Excel skills Strong communication skills, including concise issue write-ups, structured reasoning, and stakeholder alignment Working knowledge of SDLC in agile environments, including Jira for work tracking and CI/CD awareness Applicants must be able to work directly for us on W2 Day-to-Day Responsibilities Validate metric definitions (e.g., velocity, lead time) against source-of-truth tables/collections; reconcile discrepancies and document root causes Build repeatable checks (sampling, reconciliation, boundary/edge cases) and maintain test cases in a central repository (Confluence/Jira) Partner with BI developers, data engineers, and product analysts to triage defects, prioritize fixes, and track remediation to closure Monitor refreshes and lineage in Power BI; diagnose DAX/modeling issues impacting metric accuracy or performance Produce clear issue summaries and stakeholder updates-what broke, where, why, and how we fixed it Contribute to data quality standards, test coverage, and release sign-off criteria Company Benefits & Culture Inclusive and diverse work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive team culture with a focus on collaboration and innovation For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process.
