Job Title: IT Support Location-Type: Onsite (Woodbury, NY or Kansas City, KS) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 90-day Contract (option to extend) Compensation Range: $22/hr - $28/hr Job Description: The IT Support Contractor will provide Tier 1 technical support, onboarding assistance, and equipment management for onsite and remote employees in a Windows-based environment. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Serve as first point of contact for IT support requests (tickets, email, phone) Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues Install and configure PCs and laptops in a Windows environment Manage Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and password resets Support onboarding and offboarding processes (equipment setup and returns) Assist with single sign-on (SSO) and access management Track, document, and resolve recurring technical issues Support remote workforce while managing onsite equipment inventory Requirements: Must-Haves: 1-2 years of help desk or service desk experience (Tier 1 support) Strong PC troubleshooting experience in Windows environments Experience installing and configuring desktops/laptops Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, wireless, VLANs) Experience with Active Directory (user setup, permissions, access) Strong communication skills and reliability Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to regulated environments (healthcare, lab, GMP, FDA, GLP) VMware or virtualization experience Microsoft Exchange or advanced Microsoft ecosystem exposure SAN storage or infrastructure exposure Associate degree or technical certification
