Respiratory Therapist 2 - DaysRESPIRATORY THERAPY Full Time 87996BR Job Summary The Clinical Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for the assessment of respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, to ensure delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by the medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. The Clinical Respiratory Therapist II serves as a role model and resource providing clinical leadership and service coordination that assures consistently high-quality care and facilitating continuous improvement in respiratory care services. The Clinical Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for providing patient care and assessment; interdisciplinary consultation; staff, patient, family, and community education; and performance monitoring. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $68.37 - $85.76 (Hourly Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: Required Qualifications Minimum one year experience Strong communication and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively within intra and inter departmental teams Ability to establish and maintain productive and positive working relationships with internal and external customers and co-workers Possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position, including, but not limited to: Expert knowledge of clinical respiratory care assessment and therapeutic modalities for the clinical area(s) assigned Expert knowledge and experience in the application of ventilator support Patient and family education Experience in planning and conducting Inservice education and training Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations as needed Preferred Qualifications One year of neonatal/pediatric acute and intensive care preferred Prior Experience and demonstrated abilities in: Adult, Pediatric, or Neonatal critical care Quality Improvement processes Clinical Education Implementation and application of patient-driven protocols. License/Certification Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.CA RCP Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy BLS, NRP required Current basic life support for healthcare providers (HCP) certification.
