Job Title: Human Resources FWS Office Assistant Location: Life University, Department of Human Resources Position Overview: Life University is seeking diligent and motivated Work-Study students to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources FWS Office Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various administrative functions within the department. This position offers an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in a professional office environment while contributing to the efficient operation of HR processes. Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and office information. Assist in the digitization of HR records to enhance accessibility and organization. Assist with the operations of the HR functions of Student Employment. Serve as a backup receptionist for the department, handling inquiries and directing calls as needed. Aid in the preparation of reports, filing documents, and performing general office administrative tasks. Manage office supplies, operate office equipment including copiers, printers, and scanners, distributing documents as necessary. Adapt to changing priorities and perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Submit accurate payroll information and hours worked via ADP. Track work-study award funding to ensure compliance with program guidelines. Conduct oneself ethically and with integrity, upholding the values and standards of Life University in all interactions and activities. Collaborate with HR Team Members to aid and support various projects as needed. Requirements: Currently enrolled as a student at Life University who is eligible for Federal Work Study Funding. Experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Prior office experience and/or coursework in HR or business-related fields preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Positive attitude, adaptable, and capable of working effectively in a team environment. Punctual and reliable with a commitment to meeting deadlines. Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs for occasional office tasks. Working Conditions: This position operates in a professional office environment. The job description may be subject to periodic review and modification to meet the evolving needs of the Human Resources Department. Compliance with University and departmental policies is essential to maintain good standing in the position.
