The CNM will see patients for prenatal visits, postpartum assessments, gynecological exams, family planning consultations, and women’s health screenings. This role is focused strictly on outpatient services, with no labor or delivery coverage, and involves close collaboration with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and support staff.General Duties:Provide services under the scope of practice as a certified nurse midwifeWork collaboratively with the multidisciplinary OB/GYN healthcare teamDocument all patient care using electronic health record systemsParticipate in performance improvement and continuing education programsMaintain infection control, confidentiality, and patient safety protocolsSpecific Duties:Perform comprehensive health assessments and physical examsProvide routine prenatal and postpartum careConduct gynecological exams (pap smears, breast exams, etc.)Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, and preventive careOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and labsPrescribe medications in accordance with state scope of practiceRefer patients to OB/GYN physicians or specialists when necessaryCounsel patients and families on birth control, pregnancy, and women’s healthFloat to other OB/GYN outpatient services as neededQualifications:Degree:Master’s degree or higher in nursing or midwiferyEducation:Graduate from a CNM program accredited by ACME or similar bodyCertification:Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) credential from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredExperience:Minimum one year of recent CNM or women’s health experience in an outpatient OB/GYN settingLicensure:Current, unrestricted RN license and Nurse Midwife license valid in any U.S. state or territorySkills and Abilities:Proficient in conducting prenatal and gynecological examsStrong knowledge of contraception, family planning, and postpartum careConfident in independently managing routine OB/GYN casesEffective communicator with patients and healthcare teamsSkilled in using EHR systems such as MHS GenesisBenefits:Competitive Pay80 hours of paid vacation annuallyUp to 56 hours of sick time11 paid federal holidaysHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance401K PlanSchedule:Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday between 0600 and 0600Can work Up to 40 hours per weekWork Environment:Clinic-based OB/GYN care at NMCPCollaborative team setting with physicians, nurses, and support staffMay float between different outpatient women’s health areas as neededImmunization Requirement:Required vaccinations: MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, FluTB screening requiredMust complete NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalentSecurity Requirement:Must pass background investigation and credentialingOnboarding may take up to 90 daysEqual Opportunity Employer:AIMS Locum Tenens is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
