Accounts Payable Specialist Accounts Payable Specialist Overland Park, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire| up to $27ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client who is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day AP operations. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts Process weekly check runs, ACH, and credit card payments Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies Maintain AP records, files, and supporting documentation Respond to vendor and internal inquiries professionally Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable Maintain Excel schedules and reports as needed Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures Qualifications: 2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting support experience High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Experience with accounting or ERP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks, Workday, etc. a plus) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable, professional, and able to work independently Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour Search managed by: Claire Grossman Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
