Join the Pine Acres Team!!Quality Assurance and Infection PreventionistThe Quality Assurance and Infection Preventionist leads, guides, and directs the facility’s Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. This role ensures residents receive high‑quality care by monitoring compliance, reviewing outcomes, implementing improvement plans, and overseeing infection prevention practices in alignment with facility policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential functions:Quality Assurance / QAPI Monitor, track, and evaluate indicators of quality resident care. Lead the facility’s QAPI program using data‑driven methods. Conduct audits, complete reports, and communicate findings to department leaders. Assist teams in developing and monitoring corrective action plans. Ensure compliance with all required quality measures and reporting standards. Infection Prevention & Control Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist. Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies. Track, investigate, and report infections as required by regulatory agencies. Provide ongoing staff training on infection prevention practices and PPE use. Coordinate outbreak response and act as a resource during infection-related events. Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations including CMS, CDC, OSHA, and public health agencies. Participate in internal and external surveys, audits, and inspections. Complete required documentation and oversee timely reporting. Education & Training Provide staff education and in‑service training on quality standards, infection prevention, and compliance. Assist departments with performance improvement and professional development initiatives. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with Nursing Leadership, Department Heads, and the Interdisciplinary Team. Participate in Quality Meetings, Infection Control Committees, and Safety Committees. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability. Required Qualifications An unencumbered nursing license in the state (LPN/LVN or RN). Minimum of one (1) year of experience with demonstrated success in a nursing role within this facility or another related healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, along with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care. Thorough understanding of skilled nursing facility regulations, including state and federal standards, operational procedures, and compliance requirements related to long‑term care.
