Assistant Division Manager The Assistant Division Manager provides financial expertise and directs budgetary and financial analyses that contribute to the organization and overall functioning of the HIV, ID and Global Medicine division. Working closely with the Division Manager, this position oversees, monitors and reports on the overall financial performance of the division; has expert knowledge of Department of Medicine and University finance systems including, but not limited to MyReports, UC Path, Peoplesoft, BearBuy, PLUS, DOMBO cFTE; analyzes regular and ad hoc reports for professional fees, division accounts, gift accounts, faculty discretionary accounts; manages and directs the annual fiscal year budgeting process. Serves as an expert to ensure compliance with UCSF accounting practices; supervises division finance analysts; oversees petty cash, general ledger verification and reconciliation of accounts In addition, the Assistant Division Manager will oversee the Division's clinical endeavors which include related affiliation agreement funds, City Contracts and clinical reporting. Please note that this position is on-site at least 3 days per week. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $124,500 - $186,700 (Annual Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, please visit: Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training 5+ years related experience including 3+ yrs supervisory, lead or management experience Extensive knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems, budgeting and reporting techniques, accounting and bookkeeping Solid understanding of financial and resource planning concepts as well as how to control organizational budgeting Ability to prepare and present materials to internal and external constituents Extensive knowledge of human resource policies, practices, and planning Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheet and database software Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across the organization at all levels. Proven ability to deal with changing priorities and direct the work of others accordingly.
