Job Title: UI/UX Specialist Location: ADA, MI Duration: 06 Months with possible extensionDuties as Assigned As a Senior Designer, you turn ambiguous problems into shipped, measurable outcomes. You lead the design for a product or pod, bridging our client between user needs, business strategy, and engineering feasibility. You don't just design interfaces; you raise the bar for the entire design organization. Responsibilities Strategic Discovery: Lead discovery to define problems and user needs; translate insights into clear product opportunities and testable hypotheses. End-to-End Execution: Design high-quality, accessible interfaces (Web/iOS/Android) and user flows that move the needle on KPls like activation and task success. Al-Augmented Workflow: Leverage generative Al tools to accelerate ideation, automate repetitive tasks (e.g., component variations, documentation), and synthesize large-scale research data. System Ownership: Evolve our design system (tokens, components, patterns); drive adoption and governance across platforms with "accessibility by default." Technical Collaboration: Partner deeply with Engineering and PMs to refine requirements, navigate technical constraints, and ensure high-quality Design QA. Leadership & Mentorship: Elevate team standards through critiques and documented decision-making; mentor mid/junior designers in craft and strategy. Required Skills Product Thinking: Ability to link design decisions directly to business models and success metrics (CSAT, North Star metrics) . Expert level proficiency in Figma including Auto Layout 6.0, Multi-mode Variables (for theming, localization, and accessibility), and Logic-driven Prototyping using conditional variables and expressions to simulate production-ready app behavior. Al Literacy: Proficiency in Al-driven design tools (e.g., Figma Al/Make) for rapid wireframing and UI exploration. Research Synthesis: Ability to use Al tools (e.g., Co-Pilot) to distill user interviews and feedback into actionable themes. Universal Design: Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2 standards and ethical design patterns (privacy, security, and bias mitigation). Communicate strong, evidence-based points of view; seek out critique and feedback to strengthen designs Job Responsibilities Senior is the target career level for professionals in this subfamily. Understands business model, the plan and business needs Deep empathy REQUIRED for business KNOWLEDGE, owner (customer) SKILLS, needs and Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Related Experience: Full stack designer equally comfortable with UX (User Experience) Design and UI (User Interface) Design Skilled at providing UX Deliverables to Agile Product Teams including: Wireframes, User Flows, Journey Maps Ability to create solutions for interface and interaction design challenges Production design experience creating Low Fidelity Mock-ups, High Fidelity Visual Designs, and Interactive Prototypes Strength in the articulation of user needs, and translating those needs into concepts and elegant interface designs Ability to not get locked into a design and iterate based on stakeholder feedback, data and technical constraints Able to clearly articulate the rationale for designs Strong listening, organization, and communication skills regarding UI/UX design process, methods and rationale Experience creating specs for UI/UX deliverables, including Ul/UX states and behaviors Strong interest in design and up-to-date with current design trends and techniques. Exhibit exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams Ability to interact positively and professionally with team members and clients from globally diverse cultural backgrounds Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple/competing projects and assignments Attention to detail with an ability to meet tight timelines Expert level Figma user You have a natural curiosity about human behavior and a data driven decision making mindset Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies Education: Bachelor's - Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Experience Design or related field Years of experience: 6+ Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Related Experience: User Research and testing experience Graphic Design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Experience utilizing a Design System Component Library in your day-to-day design work.
