About The Opportunity The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the overall operational efficiencies of their assigned location by providing timely insight to the management team through identifying and improving trends, ensuring budgets are met, and influencing business leaders with financial data. In this role, you will be at the center of our operations team for the Hartford Corrugate Plant, part of a national financial analyst peer network, and collaborate with our centralized accounting functions. This role is fully onsite and operates Monday-Friday during core business hours, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Own analyzing and reporting variances in manufacturing cost and material standards to identify improvement opportunities across the assigned location. Actively participate in the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all transactions and obligations are reviewed for completeness and properly recorded. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operations finance team to improve processes and information flow. Calculate and report out on monthly cost savings projects. Collaborates with peers to create tools, models, and analyses that measure key performance indicators to benchmark cost, improve site cost, and support capacity investments. Attend daily Plant communication meetings and provide the team update on financial metrics such as volume, waste, repairs and maintenance, and overtime spending. Be able to translate financial and accounting information into simple concepts for non-finance employees to build the financial understanding of all employees. Coordinate and lead the completion of the monthly Operations Scorecard. Review and articulate business results with Plant and Operation Managers. Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts for assigned location. Includes location's headcount, expense, and capital spending. Update weekly and monthly waste report and inform waste team of key waste drivers and trends Ensure compliance with corporate policies, supplier audits, and applicable state/federal laws Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and influence individuals at all levels within the organization Ability to define problems, collect data, articulate insights in a compelling way, and drive recommendations to conclusion Knowledge of finance, financial methods, tools, and strategies Knowledge of the methods, processes, and tools for maintaining the books of the organization and preparing financial statements and reports Must be a team player and business partner that can collaborate across various functions of the business ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work at the assigned production location a minimum of 4-5 days a week to build relationships with the operations team and a working knowledge of day-to-day Plant operations.
