Standard Job Description Plans, coordinates, directs, and/or performs engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to, aircraft, engines, systems, components, and field or shop equipment; investigates and analyzes project requirements and operating problems and develops recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards including Minimum Equipment List (MEL); evaluates, selects, applies, and/or adapts engineering modifications; designs or recommends new or modified parts and components; analyzes reparability of parts and components; evaluates operating data on parts, components, and systems to establish causes and to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions, or premature removals; analyzes and evaluates aircraft and associated equipment proposals; prepares technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications. Duties in various roles based on team, role and experience may include: -Perform modifications and maintenance on aircraft electrical / avionics systems utilizing tools, blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics -Develop and design avionics equipment, aircraft wiring diagrams, integration plans, aircraft level testing plans, configuration management, and customer requirements -Prepare and provide flight information for air crews -Troubleshoot, repair, and service aircraft and engine systems, and may be responsible for inspection -Maintain required records, manuals, and inspection forms, and may fuel and groom the aircraft -Perform repairs, overhauls, and/or modifications on various aircraft components in accordance with FAA approved procedures, manuals, and drawings -Perform basic duties on sheet metal and composite components, including riveting, sandblasting, metal grinding, and forming with hand tools For more information regarding benefits you could enjoy, please reference: Basic Qualifications -Experience in Aircraft Maintenance and/or Avionics Tech -Experience with modifications and maintenance on aircraft electrical / avionics systems -Experience with one or more of the following: avionics equipment, aircraft wiring diagrams, integration plans, or aircraft level testing plans -Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, or servicing aircraft and engine systems -Experience with maintaining required records, manuals, and inspection forms -Must be US citizen and eligible for a security clearance Desired skills -Education or related experience in Avionics, Aerospace, or a related field -Avionics or Aircraft systems knowledge (electrical, electronic, software, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) -Troubleshooting and repair experience -Testing and inspection procedures knowledge -Technical documentation (technical manuals, repair guides) -Demonstrated knowledge in quality/safety assurance inspections - Experience with procedural audits for compliance with AS-9100, DCMA8210, Federal Aviation Regulations, blueprints, engineering specifications, Department of Defense Policies, and associated regulatory standards and requirements. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Colorado Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $52,300 - $92,230. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
