Job Description: Assistant Project Manager Data Center Construction Overview The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. This role assists project leadership and field teams in managing schedules, costs, documentation, and quality across highly technical environments. The APM plays a key role in supporting onsite coordination, subcontractor management, and client reporting while developing the skills required for long-term growth in data center project management. Key Responsibilities Support safe execution of mission-critical construction activities Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and reports Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, and procurement activities Support preconstruction efforts, including bid packages and subcontractor coordination Participate in project meetings and assist with milestone tracking and client updates Manage core project workflows such as RFIs, submittals, and pay applications Assist with schedule updates and coordination of trade activities Support quality control efforts, particularly related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Assist with change management documentation and subcontractor coordination Support commissioning and turnover activities, including as-built documentation and closeout packages Collaborate closely with field supervision, MEP teams, and site operations throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 25 years of experience in commercial or mission-critical construction - Must have experience directly on ground up construction. Exposure to data center, industrial, or high-tech facilities preferred (not required) Experience working with a commercial general contractor
