Loads, unloads, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Opens containers, using steel cutters, crowbar, clawhammer, or other hand tools. Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, trays, racks, and shelves by forklift. Verifies inbound/outbound raw materials against a purchase order and/or packing list and/or bill of material. Mark materials with one or more of the following: purchase order number, lot number, heat number, and job number. Maintain material yard and storage areas for ease of identification, organization, and access of materials. Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools. Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas, using forklift. Operate forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Must be able to read a tape measure. Use simple math, general knowledge of steel shapes. OGI has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act ("The Unity Bill.") effective August 29th, 2019. Competencies Communication Skills Results Oriented Teamwork Work Environment Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel No travel is required for this position. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (GED) 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training Ability to operate a forklift Ability to work independently on assigned tasks Work Authorization/Security Clearance None required for this position.
