The purpose of this position is to ensure that equipment operates efficiently through the effective use of preventative maintenance, calibration, and prompt breakdown maintenance. Education and experience equivalent to an accredited apprenticeship program in trade, craft, or occupation preferred. Thorough understanding of machine function and equipment processes. Proficiency in the use of volt meters, ohm meters, flow meters, thermometers, lathes, milling machines, drill press, band and cutoff saws, pipe bending and threading equipment, metal grinders, metal shear and brake, welding equipment, micrometers, dial and digital calipers, and small hand and power tools. Technical degree or 3-5 years of experience required. This position includes significant duties such as troubleshooting equipment failure, performing root cause analysis, performing preventative maintenance and repair work, completing maintenance work orders, keeping coordinators, supervisors, and operators informed, supporting production and engineering departments, performing maintenance requirement specifications, working with engineering, working with outside contractors, procuring needed parts, working in a team environment, and attention to consistent material handling procedures. Working conditions include heavy lifting in rare instances, majority of time light lifting, some exposure to elements of dirt, dust, fumes, and noise, but none disagreeable. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $29.75 hourly rate - $34.50 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
