Summer Intern- Design Engineer- Coppell, TX

The Design Engineering team at Rohde & Schwarz USA provides mechanical design support for production operations in our Coppell, TX facility. This includes creating drawing packages for system production. These packages can contain mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, system diagrams, cable diagrams, cable lists, and various other drawing types. The Design Engineering team is responsible for creating custom mechanical parts for systems. These parts can either be created on-site by R&S technicians, printed on our in-house 3D printer, or sent to an external supplier. Your tasks Create and update 3D models using Siemens NX Create and update wiring diagrams using Microsoft Visio Create and maintain internal product catalog Release products to R&S Product Data Management system Prepare drawing packages for the production floor Application tips Watch the video and learn all about our application process: Application Interview Contact persons Your qualifications Rising Jr or Sr year in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering field Experience in at least one 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion, etc.) 3D printing experience is a plus, but not required Siemens NX experience is a plus, but not required Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams Good time management and ability to prioritize between multiple tasks Minimum 3.0 GPA Summer resident of the greater Coppell, TX area.
