JOB SUMMARY: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) seeks a strategic and results-oriented Director of Philanthropy to lead and expand the organization's corporate giving program while providing leadership for Development communications strategy. This role is ideal for a collaborative fundraising leader who excels at building high-impact partnerships, driving sustainable revenue growth, and advancing mission impact. Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy, the Director serves as a key member of the Development leadership team and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that grow corporate revenue and strengthen external engagement. Position Summary The Director of Philanthropy will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive corporate giving strategy to achieve and exceed annual revenue goals. This includes oversight of corporate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, cause marketing initiatives, and employee engagement opportunities. The Director will also guide the strategic coordination of Development communications to ensure consistent, compelling engagement across corporate, individual, and community stakeholders. Essential Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy aligned with BBBSMA's strategic priorities and annual revenue goals. Oversee and grow a portfolio of approximately 80 corporate partners, implementing cultivation, renewal, and upgrade strategies to increase revenue and long-term engagement. Personally manage and solicit key corporate partners and high-capacity prospects through proposals, sponsorship packages, presentations, and executive-level engagement. Supervise and mentor the Senior Manager of Corporate Giving, fostering accountability, professional development, and performance excellence. Identify and expand opportunities in cause marketing, employee engagement, and third-party fundraising. Collaborate with the VP of Philanthropy in revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and annual budgeting processes. Partner with Marketing to develop compelling corporate-facing collateral, sponsorship materials, and impact communications. Lead the planning and coordination of Development communications strategy, including donor appeals, stewardship efforts, and campaign messaging. Monitor and analyze revenue performance and engagement metrics to inform strategy and ensure goal attainment. Represent BBBSMA externally with corporate leaders and community stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive fundraising experience, with demonstrated success in corporate giving. Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Experience supervising staff and managing performance. Bachelor's degree required; CFRE preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce or comparable CRM system. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Routine office environment. This position is in our Atlanta office, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. Flexible work hours to meet customer needs. Hybrid work schedule (likely 3 days in-person and 2 days work from home). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position is a primarily sedentary position and frequently requires the use of standard office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax, and printer). May occasionally require bending, reaching, and lifting to 10 lbs. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Base salary is budgeted between $95,000-$110,000, based on experience. We also offer immediate vesting and enrollment in a 403(b) plan with up to a 4.5% employer match.
